Coach Lakyn
Coach Lakyn began cheerleading competitively when she was 10 years old. She competed for the multiple National All Star Championship Program, Rocket Elite out of Phillipsburg, NJ. Rocket Elite is currently known as World Cup Phoenix. Lakyn gained much experience through this program competing at a very high level, mastering the innovative skills required to be National Champions.
Moving out of the area Lakyn relocated to the North Country of New Hampshire where she competed for Evergreen Cheer Stars at Level 4. The squad achieved many championships in local competitions. Lakyn enjoyed the “family feel” she experienced there with her teammates.
Upon returning to Pennsylvania, Lakyn’s family opened their own All Star Gym, PRIDE out of Broadheadsville, PA. As a Level 4 all star she won various championships as both athlete and coach. Lakyn was also crowned solo cheer National Champion. She received many awards for cheer tumbling as well as stunting.
Lakyn participated in High School Cheerleading as well where she was awarded NCA All American each year.
Lakyn’s favorite thing about coaching is watching the athletes work through progressions to attain their skills and build self confidence. However, coaching a squad and watching them come together forming friendships, trusting each other and having fun doing so is the ultimate reward.
Coach Chelsea
Hi I’m Chelsea, and I have been a coach here at All American since 2019. For the last several years, I have enjoyed being a consistent part of the rec gymnastics program. I have coached our smallest kiddos at the tiny stars level all the way up to our older and more advanced athletes at the shooting star level and have loved following all of my students’ progress over the years and creating relationships with the families coming into the gym! Personally, I have a competitive cheerleading background that led to continued opportunities at the collegiate level. Since college, I have pursued a career in education and currently teach 6th and 7th grade in Springfield. In addition to continuing coaching recreational gymnastics at AAGDA, I am so excited to begin coaching our cheerleading program this fall!
Coach Jaida
My name is Jaida Kynard. I started gymnastics and cheerleading at 8 years old. I was a recreational gymnast at All American Gymnastics and Dance Academy. I took classes and went to open gyms to improve my gymnastic skills. I cheered for the Springfield Wildcats and then I was introduced to competitive cheerleading in high school. Then, I started all star cheerleading which is my first love. I have been cheerleading and doing gymnastics for 14 years! I started coaching gymnastics and cheerleading in 2021, now I am in two years, and love every moment of it. Some fun facts about me is that my journey started as a competitive dancer. I danced for 13 years!!! I loved acrobatics and that’s where it all started for me. I love studying and going to college. I am a senior and Law and Society major at Western New England University.
